What is the procedure to f admission in army college of medical science
Hello Aspirant.
To join the Indian Army as a doctor, you must study in AFMC.
AFMC stands for Armed Forces Medical College situated in Pune. Earlier, AFMC used to conduct their own exam but not any more. Now, admission is based partly on your NEET Exam.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. He/she must be a Citizen of India.
2. He/she must be unmarried throughout the course.
3. He/she should be medically fit according to the criteria issued by the Ministry of Defence.
4. He/she should have completed 17 years of age but should not be more than 22 years of age (24 years if you're doing a BSc degree and are in final year/have passed).
5. Achievement of atleast 60% in PCB and 50% individually in each subject along with English. Also, he/she should have passed all the subjects in their first attempt. Passing in Mathematics in 10th standard is also required.
Admission Process:
1. When you apply with your NEET result, you are required to take the ToELR test which is a computer based exam testing you in English, Logic and Reasoning. It consists of 40 questions to be done in 30 minutes.
2. The NEET Exam result and the TOELR Exam result are added and divided by 4 to get a score out of 200.
3. An interview worth 50 marks is also held.
4. A merit list is prepared according to the total marks and domicile has no role in it whatsoever.
There are only 105 seats for boys and 25 seats for girls.

ACMS offers five and a half years course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) that includes a 1-year internship.
- Candidates can submit the application form in online mode only.
- For MBBS course, admissions will be offered for the candidates who have passed the higher secondary examination.
- Admission to this program is through NEET 2019 .
- The counselling process for qualifying candidates is done by GGSIPU.
ACMS offers four-year MBBS course for the candidates who have appeared for Higher Secondary Examinations in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects). Minimum qualifying marks to apply for admissions is 60% aggregate marks.
Admissions will be made through NEET UG 2019. The counselling process is conducted by GGSIPU for candidates who have cleared the exam.
- Applicants belonging to SC/ ST categories are entitled to the relaxation of 10% in the qualifying examination.
- Minimum age to apply for admissions is 17 years as by December 31, whereas maximum is 35 years.
- Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).
- Click on “Apply Online” tab.
- Add the mandatory details (personal and educational qualification).
- Upload the scanned copies of following documents:
- Signature
- Photograph
- Thumb impression
- Click on “I Agree” checkbox in the declaration form and click on submit option.
- A Login ID and Password will be generated along with the preview of details.
- Proceed to fill the course application details.
- Submit your application and click on proceed to pay. The Application fee for the form is INR 1000/-.
- Application fee can be submitted through Credit/ Debit cards or Net Banking.
- Candidates will be redirected to the next page with a preview of all the details filled by the candidate.
- Take the print out of the duly filled in application form.
There will be no interview in it. It is like any other medical college .
