B.ed stands for Bachelor of Education. It is essential for candidates who want to pursue a career in teaching. It is a two-year full-time degree course and few colleges also offer distance learning or correspondence courses for 2 years. The B.Ed degree is compulsory for all those who want to become a teacher in primary and secondary schools. Students under this course are professionally trained in both art and science subjects.
Applicants must be a graduate or postgraduate in any relevant field from a recognized institution along with that the graduate candidate must have scored 50% to 55% in their final exam and the post-graduation candidate has to secure a minimum of 55% in their qualifying exam to be eligible to apply for the entrance exam. The candidates have to qualify for the entrance exam organized by the university to get admission to any institution. After that, the candidates have to qualify in the counseling process. Different universities have their entrance exams and few of them select candidates from a common entrance exam. And some institutes offer admission based on merit.

B.Ed (Bachelor's of Education) is 2 years course. To pursue B.Ed a candidate must holds a Bachelor's degree in any stream. However, the basic percentage that a candidate has to score in graduation in order to take admission into B.Ed is 50-55 percentage (it depends upon which College you are willing to take admission into) this minimum percentage could be lower in case of reserved category (like SC ST) Candidates.
