C ompared With Other Branches Of Engineering, Agricultural Engineers Receive Excellent Pay Package At The Beginning Itself. The Remuneration Depends On The Status Of The Industry And Experience, Qualification And Ability Of The Employee. They Can Find Job Openings Both In India And Abroad. In India, In The Government Organizations, a Fresh graduate Can Expect a Salary Ranging Between Rs 20,000 To Rs 25, 000 Per Month. Inside 1 To 2 Years Of Experience, The Monthly Pay Scale May Increase To Rs. 30, 000 Or May Be More Depending On The Efficiency, Capability And Seniority Of The Employee.

Agricultural Engineering is that field which is generally looked down upon by many students thinking that it would reduce them to the name of "qualified farmers" but in reality there is so much to explore in this field.It works towards modifying the conventional farming practices to increase the overall output of crops.It indeed is imperative to learn such techniques for we can't survive nor can the nation's economy grow without Agriculture.
The Bachelors in Agricultural Engineering is a four year long programme.The fact that it still has not gained popularity among students so there is comparaively less competition and hence there is sort of guarantee to get a job.You may land up in different government Agricultural sectors as agriculture officer, farm manager,Research officer,Process Manager or Purchase manager with a package of around 2.5 -4.5 lakhs per year or even more. Even the private sectors,Fertilizer firm,Food Products Processing and Manufacturing firms etcetera pay good salary.
