When manufacturing industry will speed up against services industry, electronic and communication engineering will rise. But it isn't a matter of few years. Also the syllabus is also too much outdated and restrictive, that it mostly isn't of any use for the current industrial requirements.
Electronics industry might see a positive change in the year 2020, demand of the students will increase, demand of high quality electronic and communication scientists will increase, but salary will (on average) decrease.
