The system of admission in any medical college is:
- After your class 11th and 12th.. in the month of May there will be an exam called National Entrance cum Eligibility test or NEET. You have to qualify it by getting 50 percentile or above
- The NEET exam consists of questions related to your syllabus of class 11 and 12. You get around 1 to 2 months for brushing up the topics.
- After your NEET exam is held you will have to wait for the results. If you get belong to general category you should get 50 percentile, OBC 45 percentile, SC and ST is 40 percentile.
- The cut off goes up and down every year because of the heavy competition.
- After you have qualified you have to apply for counseling. If you have a good score you get a government college or if you have an average score but still wish to join in that same year keeping in mind that you have qualified you can take admission in a private college.
- There is a last round called the mop-up round so keep your hopes.
