If you want to get admission in IITs you can get a full score in your mains exam or the cutoff clearance for advance is also good enough cause the admission for IITs is through the rank which you achieve in your advance papers and not through your mains .

The the criteria for JEE Mains examination doesn't require minimum percentage. Though you require minimum75 % aggregate and 75 % individually in physics, chemistry and maths to clear the eligibility criteria for getting admission in any of the NITs.for getting addmission in iits you must need 65% in your 10+2 board examination.
