Admission to First Year Engineering courses in Maharashtra is on the basis of MHT CET 2019 . Candidates who wish to seek admission in various colleges and universities in BE / B.Tech courses must appear and qualify in the Common Entrance Examination. The Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai is the Competent Authority for admission to First Year Engineering 2019-20.

MHT CET 2019 is the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for BE / B Tech, B.Pharm, Pharm.D courses. MH CET 2019 was held on 02 to 23 May 2019 for engineering courses in all district headquarters of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria for various types of candidature for Admission is given below.

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.

• The Candidate should be an Indian National;
• Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only ) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. OR
• Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;
