Hello,
Your average marks should be 55% or more in B.Com or M.Com, or 60% or more in graduation / post graduation from any other stream, if you want to join CA Intermediate course directly, under the DIRECT ENTRY SCHEME.

Hi.
As per the eligibility criteria for CA CPT, you should have passed 12th and there is no specific percentage mentioned.
Also candidates who have completed graduation or post graduation in Commerce stream with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all subjects or its equivalent from a state or nationally recognised university are exempted for CA CPT.
So in case you have done b.com and have percentage above 55% you do not need to give the exam.
Good Luck.

Dear Dilip, if you are a non Commerce Graduate you need to score 60% in your Bachelor's degree and if you are a Commerce Graduate, you need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in your Bachelor's degree. After your Bachelor's degree you get to study CA Intermediate as a Direct Entry. There are 8 papers in CA Intermediate that are both Subjective and Objective type. And the same pass rule applies here as well. Should score above 40 in each subject with an average aggregate of 50%. The subjects are divided into 2 groups. Group 1 has Accounting, Corporate Laws and other Laws, Cost and Management Accounting, Taxation. Group 2 has Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance Enterprise Informations Systems and Strategic Management and Financial Management and Economucs for Finance. For Direct entry Commerce Graduates, it is important to have 50% aggregate in their qualifying examination and for Non Commerce Graduates, 60% aggregate is mandatory. And then there is a mandate period of Orientation period and study period. In CA Intermediate as well, the exams are conducted in May and November of every year.
