First of all qualifying jee mains doesn't means that you will get admission in NIT although you are eligible for the counseling , admission will depend upon your rank and you know there are around 20-25 ( approximately)thousand seats in the NIT s . So you should require to secure a good percentile more than 97-98 percentile for a good college .
As per last year you should score more than 55-60 percentile for the qualifying but everytime you need to secure a good percentile score for a good nit .
So good luck and work hard as you have time for the next chance of jee mains
For a sc candidate, the percentile required to get into one of the best NIT and a good branch the score should be more than 85+ percentile score.
If you can get this much score you can definitely get a seat in the nit,
To score 85+ percentile your marks should be more than 100 in jee mains paper.
