Assistant Engineer grade has different job duties and key performance indicators depending upon the department and Sector he is working with.
He is generally supported by Senior Engineer and Headed by Manager or AGM levels and above.
The major job duties comprise of Maintenance, Logistics Production Planning, Conducting research and surveys, Making presentation and excel sheets for senior management, data crunching and analysis such that senior management can take wise decisions.
The job duties dont involve much of people management, rather it blends more of back end support for making critical strategies and ensurance of successful business practices.
The career paths may differ from every sector, generally it takes 3-5 years to get into Management grade roles from engineering grades.
