What should I do after GNM ? Which course is best for me?
Good afternoon ,
I hope you are fine. As per your mentioned query , you can do Bsc and Msc in nursing to expand your education in this field. Post basic bsc nursing is a course having the duration of two years. Otherwise you can also do job roles like clinical research, public health nursing , home health care , nurse administrator , government nursing jobs and so on .
I hope this helps!
Revert for further query !
Hello,
After completing GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) , you have several options to advance your career:
- B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) – A 2-year course that helps you get a degree in nursing and improves job opportunities.
- Specialization Courses – You can do short-term courses in areas like Critical Care Nursing, Neonatal Nursing, or Operation Theatre Nursing.
- M.Sc. Nursing – If you complete B.Sc. Nursing, you can go for M.Sc. Nursing to specialize further.
- Hospital Management (MBA/PG Diploma) – If you are interested in management, you can pursue a course in hospital administration.
- Government Jobs – You can apply for staff nurse jobs in government hospitals, railways, or defense services.
The best course depends on your interest. If you want to continue in nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) is the best option. If you want to shift to management, then Hospital Administration is a good choice.
Hope it helps !
