I am in class 10 th and I have to choose stream at the end of this year. I want to become an IAS officer so which stream should I opt for?? What will happen if my UPSC is not cleared and I would have taken humanities? What will be future carrer options after that?

Hey Dervish.

The best mode to join army directly after Class 12th would be through the NDA entrance exam. To be eligible to get into the Naval and Air Force wings of the Army through NDA you are required to have Physics and Maths as subjects in 12th boards. And for the Army wing you have to pass Class 12th from any stream. The entrance Test of NDA includes Maths and Physics too in their entrance syllabus. So Non medical stream in 11th and 12th will be the most suitable for you if you wish to join army.
