what to do for became a advocate
Dear candidate
It is nice to hear from you that you are choosing such a good judiciary career. I will try my best to provide you all the needed information. So first of all you need to take Arts in your 11th and clear the 12th boards with good percentage. After 12th you can enroll in the 5-years integrated B.A.LLB course in any reputed law college or else you can simply complete your 3-years graduation in a discipline which is related to law such as Political science and then pursue a 3-year LLB course.
If you would ask me then personally I felt that 5-year integrated course is better for any law pursuing student. And to get admission in top reputed law colleges you can give the exam of CLAT and get enrolled in a good college with low fees. And if in your case the college fees is not an issue then you can join any college of your choice.
Thank You!
Hey Rutuja!
If you want to become an advocate in India, you must have completed either a five year integrated Law degree or a three year L.L.B degree.
Every law graduate is needed to have completed an internship with a senior advocate or a legal firm. One is required to intern during or after graduation.
Afterwards one is required to register with the State Bar Council and pass All India Bar Examination which is conducted by the Bar Council Of India. After clearing the exam, the candidate will be issued a certificate of practice, allowing one to practice law in court.
All the best!
