What to do for taking MD General Medicine seat in deemed universities of Maharashtra?
Hi Soni
In 2017, the brochure for Unaided Private/Deemed University Medical Colleges and Government/Corporation Medical Colleges was published separately. However, the application form was released at the same time.
This year the brochure published by Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Mumbai clearly states the application form is available for State Government/Corporation Medical Colleges and Unaided Private/Minority Medical Colleges. The authorities have clearly mentioned that the application process excludes Deemed Universities.
Hopefully, the officials will release some information about the admission process of Deemed Universities of Maharashtra state.
For now, you can fill the application form to be eligible for State Government/Corporation Medical Colleges and Unaided Private/Minority Medical Colleges which might include Deemed Universities later on. The last date to fill the application form has already been extended from February 26, 2018, to March 3, 2018. The last date to submit the application is now March 6, 2018

The process of admission to the course may vary across institutes. Some institutes conduct their own entrance exams for admission, while some select students on the basis of their score at the level of graduation, completed from a recognized college/university.
Also, most colleges/universities in India base their criterion on the section on the candidate’s performance in the national-level NEET PG.
