What to study for npat entrance exams
Hello, NPAT IS National Test For Program After Twelth is the authorized and integrated entrance test offered for undergraduate conducted by the Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies, NMIMS University. After clearing the entrance test a candidate is eligible to get admission in the colleges of Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Indore and Navi Mumbai colleges. NMIMS conducted NPAT entrance exam once in every year. The application is open till april 29, 2019 and the online test is conducted on may 12 & 13 of this year. A candidate who want to attend this exam must passed or appeared in 10+2 exam from a recognized board. The maximum age of the candidate is 25 years and diploma pass candidate is also eligible for this exam. This university provides the undergraduate course like btech, bba, bcom(hons), bsc finance, bsc in applied statistics & analytics, bsc mathematics, bsc economics, bdesign in humanising technology, and ba hons in liberal arts.
NPAT exam will conducted in online mode and held in two shifts. There will be a two paper in each shifts paper 1 is compulsory for all students and paper 2 is subject wise. Paper 1 covers 3 sections of 40questions in each section which are Reasoning and General Intelligence, Quantative and Numerical Ability and English Language.
Reasoning And General Intelligence - 40 questions- 40marks- 45 minutes
this includes the topic like critical thinking -10 marks, verbal logical reasoning- 5marks, data interpretaion- 10marks, data sufficiency- 5marks, numerical reasoning - 6marks, spatial reasoning- 4marks.
Quantitative & Numerical Ability - 40questions- 40marks- 45 minutes
This section inculdes the number system - 4marks, arthemitics- 16marks, trignometry- 4 marks, algebra- 8marks, stastistics and probability- 4 marks, sets and functions - 4marks.
English language & Prificiency - 40questions - 40marks- 30minutes
This sections includes error detection- 5marks, vocabulary- 4marks, grammar- 8marks, sequesces- 4marks, reading comprehension- 15marks, fill ups- 4marks.
Paper 2 exam is for B.des candidates which includes 3 sections of 20questions each.
Spatial Ability And Visualisation Skills - 20questions- 20marks - 30minutes
This section includes the principle of design and perceptions - 7marks, spaital assessments - 7 marks, day today knowledge - 6marks.
Observation And Problem Solving- 20questions- 20marks- 30minutes
This includes the ability to detect concealed properties - 6marks, applying attention to certain design- 6marks, ability to discern substle differences- 3marks, problem solving - 5marks.
General Awareness And Design Sensibility- 20questions- 20marks- 30minutes
This includes the general awareness of environmental factors- 6 marks, awareness of social and cultural connection - 10marks, History of art, sculpture and litreture - 4marks.

I guess you know that Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, also known as NMIMS , Mumbai prescribes the exam pattern of NPAT of Undergraduate degree and integrated degree programmes. I assume you are asking for NPAT UG degree and I will be providing the details accordingly.
Online registration is still open and the exams shall be conducted on May 11 and 12 . The exams are taken through online mode in a 2 day window with Maximum timing of 100 minutes on each of 2 days.
The test consists of 3 sections , total of 120 Multiple choice questions with no descriptive type and each section carrying 40 questions of 40 marks each. Any notice or parameters regarding negative marking is not mentioned on the official brochure.
The test is based upon 10+2 standard consisting of background of applicants, their common knowledge, etc.
The three different section consists of three different topics, like;
1. Quantitative and Numerical Ability which includes contents like Number system, Algebra, Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics and Probability, Arithmetic.

This section tests candidate's analytical and numerical skills.
2. Reasoning & General Intelligence includes contents like critical thinking, verbal logical reasoning, numerical reasoning, Data Interpretation, Spatial Reasoning.
The book you can refer to if you want is General Intelligence and Test of Reason by S. Chand Experts ( Author ).
This section detects whether the candidate has power of reasoning and general knowledge.
3. Proficiency in English language , it includes general awareness of environmental factors, awareness of social and cultural connection, history of art, sculptures & literature. In case you want to refer a book , you can consider Objective General English ( Old edition ) by R.S. Aggarwal.
This is done basically to test your grammatical and linguistic skills.
If you think these books ain't enough then you could also download Previous years question paper and sample papers . You could solve them daily, you could read daily journals and newspapers, in order to stay updated for general awareness.
