Hello,
to stay in a safe site , better to score above 80% of the total mark. PSU select candidates in two ways. Some take GATE score as eligibility and conducts own selection process. Some hire using GATE score. for these kind of companies, GATE score needs to be high which will show your ability and how you understand concepts as GATE asks questions which are basic and no one focus on it.
