what was the special feature of taxila
Hi,
Takshashila, renamed Taxila, is a significant historical town in Pakistan, located in the Rawalpindi region of Punjab. Takshashila today is a mere shadow of what it once was. It is most known for the remnants of various towns, including the Khanpur Mesolithic cave, Buddhist monasteries, mediaeval mosques, and four settlements known as Bhir, Sirkap, Saraidala, and Sirsukh, the oldest of which dates from around 1000 BCE. The Dharmarajika stupa, the Jaulian monastery, and the Mohra Muradu monastery are among the Buddhist religious monuments that can be found there.
