What will be my OBC rank if I get rank in 6000 in general

Your general rank inJEE is good enough to get you seat in many nits. Now coming to your query so it is quite obvious that your obc rank would be less than your general rank. its all relative .the rank made by the NATA is based upon a lot of factors like toughness of the exams ,number of students appearing in the exams etc so i cant be say exactly what will be your rank

however for a guess i think your rank in obc category might fall under 2k but lets wait for the official cutoff

One cannot predict your rank in OBC wise list based on your rank in General list. General list is most commonly called as Common Rank List (CRL). If you have 6,000 rank in CRL and you are the only who belongs to OBC in top 6,000 then you will have OBC Rank 1. If you are the tenth person who belong to OBC among top 6,000 then your OBC rank will be 10. If you consider one OBC individual among every ten ranks in CRL, then your rank can be 600 in OBC-wise list.

It varies every year and depends upon number of obc category students appearing for the entrance exam under 6000 rank. But based on previous years ranks, you have chances of getting a rank under 2000 in obc category in jee advanced.
