What will be the process for selection of a college after the rank and result is declared by NTA

Hello
After the NTA releases ranks and cut off people who have more cut off then are eligible to write advanced and others could start filling for NITs you can choose the colleges if that colleges has seats for your rank then you would get the college..there would be two to three rounds of allotment.
