As far as my knowledge is concerned the college authorities of any exam dont ask for original and if at all they ask they return it as soon as they finish their checking. You should have submitted the xerox. Still as you have done the submission the only thing that is left with you is to decide whether the document that you submitted can be acuired from any other source or not. Like if you have submitted the tc certificate then it can be reissued but if adhar card then you have to request the college authorities and ask for help as different college has different procedures. I am constantly using college authorities as all the counselling happens at a college.
