When students would know they are selected or not after form submission

Colleges that are government or autonomous releases their own merit list after the application forms are closed. From there, if you see your name, then you are selected. After selection, there would be document verification, it can happen in both online and offline mode.

Universities and Colleges which demands entrance exam of any kind, then if you think you rank or score is good enough to get you into a good college, you can participate in counselling process.

Now, coming to Private Universities or colleges. Private Institutions can also take entrance exam. They will release the merit list and afterwards, if selected you will have to pay the course fee. However, when entrance test is not required, they will demand a SOP (Statement of Purpose) attached in the online application form, stating why they should give you admission. If, your application gets selected, they will call for an interview( in some colleges, they take interview). On the basis of your SOP\Interview, they will select you. They will either send you a mail or text you on whatsApp regarding your selection, and will ask you to pay the course fee timely.
