Hello,
In clock there are 60 minutes and to it's half i.e 30 minutes we say" half past" .
So,half past ten means the time is 10:30 o' clock and on this time ,
the hour hand of the clock will be on 10 and
minute hand will be on 6 .(denoting 30minutes)

Half past stands mean Half Past 10 means 10:30 or 22:30. So the at this particular time, the minute needle in your clock will point at 30 while,the hour needle will be a few minutes forward clockwise,as the hour needles move forward slowly in an hour.
