where will I have to report if I get a seat in nit in Round 1

Complete admission operations of NIT are handled by JOSAA ,

When the JOSAA releases the  cap round 1 then they will release a brochure or guidline book through which you will get the list of NEAREST REPORTING CENTERS .

Then you have to pay the acceptance fee and you even have to report to the nearest reporting center of NIT's for document verification even though you want to proceed to further rounds.

To proceed to further round you have to select Freeze, Float or Slide options appropriately.

I suggest you to study the business rules in JOSAA site carefully.

If you get seat in NIT in round 1 of counselling.You have to pay the acceptance fee(keep the  fee receipt with you for documents verification)and then report to the nearest reporting center of NIT's for document verification within the given timeframe then your seat will be confirmed only even if you want to proceed to further rounds you have to report.Bussiness rules of JOSSA will be available soon check daily the official sites. You can select below options for further rounds

• Float-Select this option if you want your seat to be upgraded in any institute filled above your allotted choice.
• Slide:Select this option if you want your seat to be upgraded in the same institute in which you have been allotted seat.(Remember you must have filled the greater preference choice in same institute above your allotted choice then only this option is usable .)
• Freeze:Select this if you are satisfied with your seat and you don’t want any change of seat.
