placements of velammal engineering college is good , last year the overall placement was 86.47 percent , 200+ companies visited the campus and around 863 students got placed , if we talk about particular engineering department then placement was 92.61 percent , highest package offered by Adobe system of 22 LPA , lowest was of 2.5 LPA , some of the IT firms recruited students were akamai,CGI , infoedge , NIIT, CARATLANE , HSBC, VERIZON , ZOHO, IBM , DELL ,HCL and many more , some of the sales and marketing companies were 360 careers, airtel , HDFC bank , naukri,com , TATA capital , PHOTON , vodafone , SAP , SASEL, treebo , thinkAlearn and so on
