Yes most of the colleges allowed mobile phones in the hostel but in boarding schools there is restriction for mobile phones. students may submit their Phone to warden under mentioned time period it may be before 7 p.m in some schools.
Usually the college or schools dont give permission to use your mobile phones under their campus premises and classroom.also it is important to connect with your parents when you are in hostel so nowadays it becomes common to have mobile phones in hostel.
