Petrochemical engineering is a specialized branch of Chemical Engineering which deals with the operations of refining and petrochemical technology. Petrochemical engineers can work as petroleum geologists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, drilling engineers among several other profiles. Efficient and effective project management skills along with strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple/concurrent projects in petrochemical engineering.

So, you must have the required skills plus relevant qualification (BE/B.Tech) to enter the field. It is not exactly the marks that you score that matters, but your passion and skills. Best of luck!
