Greetings aspirant,
To be honest, in the end when counselling will take place, at one point or the other marks is always considered as that`s an easy assessment parameter. In most of the cases it does not matter which one out of marks or percentile will be used for counselling, the outcomes will be similar in both cases cause as you might know already higher the marks higher the percentile. But, if there are situations where negative marks will effect rank of students with same percentile, so in the end it`ll be marks.
