Which all branches had vacant seats in IITs in 2018?

Well the students who are admitted to preparatory courses are not necessarily sent to vacant seats after counselling in any of the IITs. After one year they take an examination and based on your performance they give you a branch which may or may not necessarily have a vacant seat that too in the reserved categories. So don't worry about these details and simply work hard in your first year over there!
