Which are the best colleges for for undergraduate course in geography honours

Depends on what degree you are seeking. Most of the universities in India offer a graduation degree (BA) with Geography as a subject (Often Geography as the major subject in the third year). When it comes to Delhi University, you get an honours degree (Bachelors) in Geography. Presently, 11 colleges offer this degree of which, KMC, Miranda House, Shivaji College have the best departments. As far as KMC is concerned, you have a good name of the college whereas the faculty at Shivaji College is excellent. Shaheed BhagatSingh ( morning and evening), Ambedkar College, Swami Shraddhanand are the other ones in the University. Honestly speaking, for an undergraduation degree, either I don’t know any better colleges across the country or there aren’t any offering such a specialised degree.

Coming to the Post Graduation or Masters degree, JNU, Delhi, Department of Geo, DU, Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi, BHU, Varanasi are the finest ones. Other mentionable departments are at Punjab University, Himachal University, Pune University, University of Bombay, etc.

For the research programs like PhD and MPhil, the above mentioned Universities are in the list again.

Hope,this information helpful for you.
