- Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
- CAT guide for English by Arun Sharma
- Objective English for Competitive Examination by Tata McGraw Hill
- Quick Learning Objective General English by RS Aggarwal
- High School English Grammar and Composition by Wren and Martin
- Objective General English by S P Bakshi

For english you should try these following books:
Norman lewis- word power made easy
Objective General English- RS Agarwal
English grammar & composition- Wren & Martin
All these are sufficient for prep in Clat, Ailet, etc..which I also use for my preparation!
