Nothing actually matters,when it comes to your field of interest and your passion to do work.In this present world,girls and boys are equally favourable to take any branch in engineering.But mostly girls preference for branch are as follows:

1.Computer science and IT

2.Electronics and telecommunication

3.Biotech and Bioengineering

4.Electrical engineering

5.Chemical engineering

Hello Aspirant,

Frankly speaking very few branches are restricted for girls such as mining engineering. So choose the branch that you are interested in, so that you can enjoy it. Every branch has it's value in own area.However a large section of girls prefer CSE, it, instrumentation in India because of comfortable desk jobs and healthy male female ratio. Whereas civil, mechanical require bit more physical labour, as workshops in coursework, at construction sites in industries etc.

Also I have known women who are leading engineers in:

Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.

Civil Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering.

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Chemical Engineering.

Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering.

Materials Science and Engineering.

Nuclear Engineering.

So go with the one you are passionate about, because that what you will spend your whole life doing.
