Now if we see the top private colleges then there are:
BITS, VIT, SRM and such colleges which have higher course fees but the college imparts good quality education and placement.

According to me the best for b.tech are IIT ,NIT,GIFTS
In private-(BITs)Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani
But
in tamil nadu which are best for b.tech
- VIT Vellore - Vellore Institute of Technology
- Indian Institute of Technology Madras - IITM Chennai,
- National Institute of Technology - NIT Trichy
- Er. Perumal Manimekalai College of Engineering - EPMCE Dharmapuri
- Coimbatore Institute of Technology - CIT Coimbatore
