Motilal Nehru College offers Bachelor’s courses for candidates who hold Higher Senior Secondary Certificate with minimum 45% aggregate marks. Bachelor’s is offered in Economics, English, Political Science, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, Commerce, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Physical Science.
While admitting students for a particular course, candidate’s score in top three subjects and one language subject will be considered. Admissions to all the undergraduate courses are merit based. A cut off list will be published by DU, candidates who score the given marks in the list are eligible to take admission. The annual intake for Bachelor’s courses is 1065 students.
SOME IMPORTANT POINTS
- Total seats under ECA admissions will be 12 and will be distributed among various departments. Admissions will be made as per the guidelines of DU.
- Candidates will have to appear for preliminary and final trials round for the activity through which they wish to apply for admissions.
- For admissions through Sports Quota, college will conduct Sports Trial. Candidates who score at least 30 marks in trials will be eligible for admissions.
- Candidates will not be given relaxation of more than 15% aggregate marks in academic merit for admissions through ECA and Sports Quota.

IN DYAL SINGH COLLEGE
For B.A. and B.Com programmes, the merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects.
For B.A. (Hons.) programmes, if the candidate secures 40% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the concerned subject then they will be eligible for admission.
Candidates applying for the Mathematics programme should note that their merit will be determined on the basis of one language, Mathematics and two best elective subjects.
