hai dear , jee mains and jee advance are most handful exams for engineering in india jee mains qulified allowes you for NIT(national institiute of techonology) and advance is for IIT(indian inastitute of techonology) on the other hand you will have regional entrance tests conducted by respective districts and some reputed institutes like BITS ,SRm,VIT and other have there own entrance tests

Best is a subjective word. If by best you mean the most competive and prestigious exams, look no further than JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Then there are BITSAT, MHT CET (claims itself to be of the same difficulty level as JEE Main), SRMJEE and VITEEE.

On the other hand, there are number of private exams, and even some state exams, which are not so difficult. But you need to also remember that the institutes will also lack the sams status as compared to those affiliated to top exams.
