If you have completed your post-graduation in Mathematics and want to be a researcher or lecturer, then you can apply for the CSIR NET exam.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the NET exam on the bi-yearly basis for those who want to make their career in Research and Lectureship field.

Candidates having or pursuing their Master’s degree in Science Stream are only eligible to take CSIR NET exam.

They should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters’ if they are from General/ OBC Category or if they belong to SC/ST/PwD categories they should have scored minimum 50% aggregate.

To apply for the CSIR NET exam candidate’s maximum age should be 28 years. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/female applicants have up to 5 years relaxation in age criteria. For an assistant professor, there is no upper age limit.

It's not just a random decision that one can make in minutes. It's about your career, which will determine your life and future. So, you must first of all decide which course you want to pursue and that should be decided based on your interest/passion/linking and not on any other factor. Options are plently with mathematics - you can appear for banking exams like SBI PO, SBI Clerk, SBI SO, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO or CDS or other exam, but you have to understand one aspect very clearly that you can grow only in a profession or career where you are good or where you can put your heart and soul or whhich is your passion or interest. That's why you should not opt for any course in haste.
