Dear Rahul ,
Great that you have a logical, direct and quite clear question to the world! I feel it even great while answering it. But before answering it, I have two quesions for you, kindly answer them while you read this. Why did you do a Mechanical Engineering? Have you watched 3 Idiots?
Now coming to your question, there are indeed a number of examinations, which you can qualify to land into places with power and money. You can do a Masters and then a Ph.D to become a Mechanical Enginnering professor. You may also take various recruitment examns conducted by Union Public Service Commission inder ORA and too by Staff Selection Commission for a number of All India Services (Gazetted ones).
Whatever, you do my friend, you'll need determination, hard work and perseveration. And if you are ready put your every effort, why not go for the Civil Services or the Engineering Services Examination. Else, even if you join politics, making a career there too is quite tough these days.
Moreover, you will be wondering why did I ask about 3 Idiots and a reason behind doing Mechanical Engineering. Because, I need you to understand that enjoying power and money is not everything. Engineering has been a subject for engineers, innovators, inventors. Learning from mechanics of engineering would help you in devising something new, something scientific, something for the benefit of mankind, that the world knows you for. All the best!
Please counter question me, if there is something which yet bothers you.
Questioning is a good habit, live it!
Thank you.
