Generally, every branch has it's own importance and significance, we cannot say which is best and it also depends on your interest and career endeavours. The difference arises is EEE is Electrical engineering and ECE is Electronics and communication engineering which involves study of Electronics and some part of communication as well. In core companies, demand of Electrical engineering is a bit higher than that of communication engineering. Both the streams can go to work in IT fields as well. Both has high probability of getting into government jobs. In terms of placement, both the branches are good, but generally ECE tends to get higher and better package when compared to Electrical engineering students. Both streams include jobs like Broadcast engineer, Design engineer, IT consultant, Network engineer, Nuclear engineer and Systems analyst, etc.., lastly, there is a lot of scope in both the branches too.
