Which is more better IT or CSE in B.tech from IGDTUW? In terms of everything like placements and most imp packages??

Both CSE and IT at IGDTUW are equally good.
IT is just another way to increase student intake in the CSE department.
The curriculum of both is almost the same with the exception of just a few subjects.
Both are equally likely to land you your dream job in Google, Microsoft, Facebook or Samsung.

IGDTUW is a pretty good college in every way possible and the branches CS and IT are current top branches too. In terms of placements in CSE top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Expedia, Oracle, Sap Labs, etc. visited the campus with an average package of 8 Lpa. In IT too the top companies provide the placement drive every year in the college and the average package stays between 5-8 Lpa.

I think you must evaluate your weight of interests in computer science vs Information Technology, but as far as packages are concerned students of IT and CSE branches get placed in the best companies like Amazon and Microsoft with a package of 35 LPA and more. The average package offered to CSE and IT students are 12 LPA-15 LPA. Placements for the rest of the courses are good with the highest package being 15 LPA for mechanical students. Every year, almost 100% of the students get placed.
