Which is more value chemistry or bio chemistry
Hello Viji,
I did biochemistry undergrad and chemistry for my Ph.D. The other answers are correct and you should ultimately choose what you prefer more. If your end goal is research and you are unsure of the differences and given I’ve done research in both, I’ll give you some generalizations.
Biochemistry (not including molecular biology) - Does very little study into actual chemistry. They care more about the structure and activity of different biological macromolecules, be it proteins, RNA, DNA, etc.
Chemistry - Research is usually far more specific (with exceptions of course) of fabricating specific molecular targets for specific functions or applications.
Good luck!
