For average who are willing to burn the midnight oil:
- Start with R.D Sharma (subjective) for basics but don't waste time solving unnecessary easy problems. You can also skip some lengthy proofs which are not at all required to crack IIT-JEE.
- After 2-3 months when you are comfortable with R.D start a parallel book and the perfect one is A.Das Gupta ( MCQ and not the subjective one). Try to finish this book side by side of your course in +1 and +3. This will give you a lot of different and unique approaches to solve various problems.
- There is no point in starting a new book if you don't revise the previous ones. So keep revising whatever you have covered.
- Near the end of +1 you can buy previous year JEE Main and Advanced book by Arihant publication. Don't go for any other publications. Go through the previous year question very thoroughly, do not rush through the book.
- Keep your mind open in the exam because for getting into IIT the only thing that matters for an average student is presence of mind.
- Also complete the previous year JEE Main and Advanced book by Arihant publication.
Hi Bharath Kumar,
JEE Mathematics is the most important subject and to grasp concepts, practice and consistence is the only key. Keep aside time for Maths and practice everyday. Learn and understand the concepts pretty well. I am listing down the books that I used during my JEE Preparation for Mathematics and they really helped me.
S.L Loney for Trigonometry.
For Algebra, I think Arihant is really good.
For Calculus and Coordinate Geometry, I used Cengage. The book really helps you solve many Rank Booster questions.
Besides,I think last 36 years solved JEE book was also helpful and I would suggest you too. Work well and kill it!
All the Best
