Which is the ideal year to start for cat preparation 2nd year or 3rd year?

The CAT examination comprises of subjects from topics such as: Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).

The ideal time to start preparing for examination should be as early as possible, if you are providing enough time to it and doing it on a regular and serious manner. So, whether your starting your Preparations in the second year third year you should be focused and regular with your studies for obtaining a good score.

In general, one can prepare in a proper way for CAT examination in one year. So, you can start your cat preparation in the final year/third year but in case if you think that it will be difficult for you to manage your graduation studies and CAT preparation then you should start your cat preparation in the second year itself so that there is no burden over you and you can prepare for CAT examination easily over a stretch of 2 years during your second and third year. So, it depends upon you.

*Make a routine and religiously follow it as it will help you to utilise the time in the best possible way and  avoid procrastination and laziness .

*Keep short breaks of 20 to 25 minutes after every 1.5 to 2 hours between your studies in your routine .Half of the time of your studies must be for practicing questions

* Plan your studies, and set daily, weekly and monthly goals and meet them without any fail.
