The NIT College you get is completely based on marks how much you get in JEE Mains , based on those marks and your category or caste cutoff you will be alloted a seat in the desired department based on your rank!

However, the rank cut off is changed! But you can get an estimated result by viw last year rank cutoffs!

The college which you get in NIT will depend basically on your rank secured, your category and if any reservations. Please specify your rank also you can use college predictor which is on careers 360.

It depends upon your merit and your category. If you qualify JEE main, you would be required to submit choices of colleges. According to your results, you will be alloted a seat. Then you have to register yourself for that particular college. Or you can apply for subsequent rounds of counselling if you are not satisfied with the college you are provided.
