Which one is better automobile engineering or mechanical engineering Iam interesting in both

Mechanical Engineering is much better than automobile engineering. as after Doing mechanical engnieering you can make your career in Auto industry , manufacturing industry , tool Industry , production Industry PSUs. and lots more. and after Automobile Engineering you are Restricted only one sector that is auto mobile. now days lot of private colleges provides Automobile Engineering Which has Seriously no value and nor any companies prefers students of Such college. Automobile engineering is only good when you are getting some top colleges or government colleges like IITs , NITs , PEC , DTU , NSIT , State Government Engineering Colleges E.T.C

Mechanical Engineering is much better than automobile engineering as after doing mechanical engineering you can make your career in Auto industry, manufacturing industry, tool Industry, production Industry PSUs and a lot more, but after Automobile Engineering you are Restricted to only one sector.

So, instead of restricting yourself towards a specialized field like automobile, it is always better to join open-ended field like Mechanical from where career switch is possible unless and until you have decided to make your career in the automobile sector. Even than mechanical engineers are also eligible for joining the automobile sector.

Both are good & has scope in its field. It depends on your interest & capability. If we compare both of the branches then Mechanical engineering is a broad stream as it is combination of various branches like production, automobile, etc. So, in between automobile and mechanical engg, I would strongly recommend you mechanical engg, as it broadens your future career opportunities. You can do specialization in the fields post your degree, like Robotics, Marine, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Automobile if you graduate with Mechanical Engineering background.
