Which one of the three would be best. 1.B.Tech Mechanical engineering. 2.B.Tech Mechanical with spl. In automotive engineering
Hi Nitish
Mechanical engineering is said to be an evergreen engineering
branch . It is said to be the mother branch of all engineering and one of the
oldest core engineering brances. Now coming to your question, I would like to
mention what the three options out of the three you have mentioned actually are
and the opportunities you have with them.
-
BTech in Mechanical engineering -
Now taking a
regular Mechanical engineering in your undergraduate with no
specialisation means that you will be studying everything under the
mechanical engineering field with equal importance. This would cover
topics like Thermodynaics , Fluid dynamics , Machine Design ,
Manufacturing etc. to name a few. In general you will have an idea of both
automobiles and the energy engineering as per the specialisation you have
mentioned in your other too options. Placements wise , you will have many
opportunities from major industries and many research opportunities as
well. -
BTech in Mechanical engineering
with specialization in automotive engineering - In this course ,
you will be studying the major topics of a regular Mechanical engineering
course as well but special importance will be given to the automotive
domain and you will have to study major topics like Engines , Automobile
design etc. You will be more preferred by automobile companies than a
regular mechanical engineering student during placements . Opportunities
wise you will get the same opportunities as a regular mechanical
engineering student with no specialization. -
BTech in
Mechanical engineering with specialization in energy
engineering- In this course too , you will be
studying the major topics of a regular Mechanical engineering course as
well but special importance will be given to the power domain and you will
have to study major topics like power generation, renewable sources of
energy etc. You will be more preferred by power generation companies than
a regular mechanical engineering student during placements . Opportunities
wise you will get the same opportunities as a regular mechanical
engineering student with no specialization.
So to answer your question , all the three branches are equally
good and you have great career prospects. I hope I have been able to answer
your question. My best wishes to you for your future.
Hello nitish..
mechanical engineering is the one of the best branch/discipline under engineering stream which will have scope in industry forever.so its good that whatever the course you gonna do with mechanical engineering.but my suggestion is you can go with mechanical with automotive engineering.i hope it will rule the industry in future.final decision is upto you.
To view future growth in our country, all the three branches are going to be good in terms of placement.
As there are several scheme of government which supports the mechanical engineering branch.
As with growing population and increasing time , resource utilisation mechanical engineering with automation is best branch in terms of placement in private sector.
Mechanical engineering with energy seems little less in terms of other two branches as government is shifting the energy sector from conventional ways to reusable source of energy which reducing jobs after intialisation.
