Which one to choose between ece and eie ? Which one is better for future scope
EIE is a semi industrial branch. After the course students get chances in industries as well as in IT companies. Both ECE and EIE candidates get equal chances in IT firms. IT checks their programming skills and problem solving skills. Both are good branches but EIE get more chances in industries where ECE candidates are less preferred.

Both ECE and EIE are having good scope in today's industrial world. Both are required for specific tasks. In some industries electrical engineers are replacing instrumentation engineers but that's not on a mass level. ECE and EIE both have lot common in theory. In EIE you study more about instrumentation and process control whereas ECE is more about communication.ECE students can also get recruited in software companies but EIE has lesser chances. Software Companies prefer more ECE as they have good knowledge of electronic components and communication system.

I am working as Training and Placement officer. According to my knowledge both ECE and EIE people will get equal opportunities in software Industry. All major gaints like TCS, Infosys Cognizant, Wipro, DXC, Accenture, HCL will consider ECE and EIE people as same. No difference at all.
