Which plant harmone induce parthenocarpy???
Hello,
Parthenocarpy is the ability of plants to develop fruits without pollination.
The Harmones which induce parthenocarpy are Auxins, Gibberellins and Cytokinins, especially auxins and gibberellins.
The auxin treatment of young, unpollinated ovaries in certain cultivars of strawberry, tomato, grape, and orange is known to cause production of parthenocarpic fruit.
Parthenocarpy is common in Abies, Juniperus, Larix, Picea, Taxus and Thuja.
Best Wishes.
