Which rank and college can I get for 148 marks in general category

Hey Rishabh, first of all a very big congratulations to you for securing such a decent marks in JEE-Advance. With your marks you will easily fetch a rank around 7700-8200 which will surely get you a seat in an IIT. Talking about the branch you will not be able to get core branches in any IIT if lucky you can get it in last round that too in new IITs. But you will surely get non-core branches in most of IITs.

Experts suggest that this years JEE advanced was slightly tougher as compared to the previous year. So the cutoffs might fall sightly. The cutoff for general category is estimated to be nearby 95+.

At 148 marks in the exam you can expect an AIR somewhere between 5000 to 6000.

For older IITs such as IIT B, IIT Delhi, IIT KGP, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, you should have a rank below 3000. You can hope for new IITs if you get a rank below 5000.
