I am assuming that you are asking which stream you should be choosing if you want to pursue engineering as you have mentioned engineering and JEE Mains in the tags.
Well, for pursuing engineering one has to choose Science because to be able to study Engineering in India one has to crack entrance examinations that consists of the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class XI-XII standard syllabus. Also, it is the eligibility criteria that mentions that one must have 50% marks in Class XII boards with a Science background with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. The percentage might vary depending upon different state level and national level examinations.
