According to the Syllabus from official wensite of JNU, candidates applying for this entrance exam are expected to be familiar with the content of a B.A. course in Political Science. Syllabus is given below:-

Unit I

• Social and Political Thought of Modern India
• Western Political Thought
• Concepts and Approaches in Political Theory

Unit II

• Constitution and Political Institutions of India
• State and Politics in India
• Political Processes and Public Policies in India

Unit III

• Comparative Government and Politics
• International Relations

Candidates applying should have decent knowledge about each and every Unit mentioned above.
