Hi there

IG or the Immunoglobulins are classified into five categories:

IgA,
IgD,
IgE,
IgM.

Their function is that:-

they help help to identify foreign substances that enter our body
They destroy foreign substances entering our body like microbes i.e bacteria, protozoan parasites and viruses
Thus, they play an important role in the immune response
